Discount Club Membership
MATAURANGA MEDICAL DISCOUNT CLUB (DC) TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. By subscribing to the Mātauranga Medical Discount Club patients Agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1.1 Subscription Fees
Patients subscribing to the Discount Club agree to pay $312 annually which may be paid weekly $(6), monthly $(26) or quarterly ($78) for a minimum of 12 months.
1.2 Payments must be made weekly to WESTPAC 03 0502 0547 882 000 Quoting as a Reference: DC and the Name of the patient.
2. Mātauranga Medical agrees in return to the following Discounted Fees for DC members:
- Awhi Consultations $0, and
- repeat scripts $0
- specialist referrals $0
- routine minor nurse care to $30
- driver’s and other Medicals to $150
- minor surgery to $200
- long acting reversible contraception insertion to $150
3. Further Terms and Conditions
3.1 Members become eligible for Discounted Fees from the date their first payment is received unless there has been a break in payments.
3.2 Breaks in Payments:
In the case there has been a break in payments membership in the discount club is terminated and subscribers are no longer entitled to the benefits of membership until all past payments due have been received and monthly payments are received, in advance. In the case of a second break in payments membership in the discount club is terminated and subscribers are no longer entitled to the benefits of membership until all past payments due have been received and quarterly payments are received in advance.
3.3 Transitional Arrangements:
For a period of 12 months commencing 1 January 2026 patients who have not yet become member of the discount club will continue to have access to non urgent care on a fee for service basis.
3.4 All subscription payments are non-refundable. Patients who transfer to another medical practice are required to pay their Subscription Fees for the balance of 12 months from the date of enrollment termination (minus any fee paid for that period in advance)
3.5 Patients acknowledge that it is their responsibility to ensure sufficient cleared funds are transferred to the nominated account by, and at all times on, the due date of the payment to enable the payment to be honoured.
3.6 Patients are responsible for any fees and charges that may be charged by their bank for defaulted payments.
4. Cancellation
Patients may cancel their membership at any time by providing one month’s notice in writing.
5. Advance warning to be provided if the Fees change
Mātauranga Medical reserves the right to increase Subscription Fees payable from time to time. In the case that Mātauranga Medical increases Subscription Fees, Mātauranga Medical will provide at least three months advance notice to patients.
