The Mātauranga Model of Care

Offers FREE GP care for patients who remain concerned their case is URGENT or COMPLEX after a FREE (first 5 minutes) whakaaro telephone consultation. *

Awhi consultations are an important part of the Mātauranga Model of Care.

• The Awhi places you at the centre of our nurse-led model of care.

• Awhi consultations are offered to patients of all ages who are not concerned their case is URGENT or COMPLEX.  

• Awhi consultations are FREE for members of our discount club. Please see our fees page for detailed information about our fees and discount club.

Awhi consultations are nurse-led but delivered by the whole general practice team:

• are booked after a FREE (first 5 minutes only) whakaaro phone call
• the nurse may request support and advice from the GP

• places the whole person at the centre of the equation

• incudes appreciation of wider determinants of health
